The August MS625 are the wireless version of the recently reviewed August MS515 speakers.

As with the MS515 the MS514 are a nice looking set of speakers and you get two in the box along with a charging cable. This single cable is able to charge both speakers at the same time and this plugs into the rear of each speaker, with the main speaker having a set of controls and aux in port in addition to the power switch and USB port.

Setup was fairly easy, one thing to keep in mind is that you need to only turn on the main speaker during the pairing process, if you turn on the secondary speaker as well it can block you from being able to pair. Once you’ve connected you turn on the second speaker and that will then automatically pair with the first without you needing to do anything.

As you’ll see in the video review this means these are wires free, you don’t need to plug them into each other and you’ll get good stereo separation.

Speaker volume is good, overall sound quality is OK but, as you’d expect from small speakers, it lacks bass.

The main speaker will work without the secondary speaker, handy if you’re travelling and want a speaker but don’t have space for both.

The August MS625 are a nice little set of speakers, much better build quality than most and the lack of wires is appreciated, but fairly average sound quality.
