This Inateck 2-in1 card offers a really simple way of adding inbuilt WiFi to your PC as well as an additional 3 x USB 3 ports.

Installation of the card takes 5 – 10 minutes and takes up a single PCI-E slot.  Drivers are provided on an included CD and once installed you’re ready to rock.

The WiFi element of this card allows you to connect to networks in either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and running speeds tests gave a consistent performance of around 80 down and 6 up on Virgin Media (where the router was downstairs and the PC upstairs).

The nice thing about this card is that Inateck have also included 3 x USB 3 ports and as you’ll see in the review video below these work really fast with USB 3 devices such as external hard drives.  In the video you’ll see it shift files at about 100MB a second to an external 2.5 drive (not an SSD).

These ports are backwards compatible with previous USB version devices, so the speeds you get will depend on the kit you have.

Good little upgrade that removes the need for a WiFi dongle while also adding 3 shiny new USB ports to your desktop.
