The PINWHEEL Q7 is a decent little media box, it comes with Kodi pre-installed, although it wasn’t the latest version (16 at the time of review). As well as the Google Play store it comes with the Aptoid app store (not one I’m familiar with) and you could always install the Amazon app store if you wanted to.

Media playback was fine, all the streaming services ran well.

Gameplay was OK, with a USB port you can add a game controller and use this as a mini console, although it doesn’t run games as smooth as other Android consoles I’ve tried they were still very playable on the Q7.

Annoyingly it comes with a micro HDMI port rather than full HDMI port. It does come with a micro to full HDMI cable, but I’d prefer this to just have the standard ports.

The USB port also allows this to be used as a little workstation, it has an office package pre-installed that allows you to edit Word etc files.

The interface is basic, no attempt has been made to make this TV friendly, and so the included remote is only really of use for things like Kodi, you’re better off investing in a keyboard/mouse combination or an air mouse.

Once you get use to the menu this performs well in everything I’ve thrown at it so far.

Which Android Box is Better for Streaming: PINWHEEL Q7 Quad-Core or DroidBOX T8 Mini?

When comparing Android boxes for streaming, the DroidBOX T8 Mini stands out as a top contender. It offers impressive performance and a user-friendly interface. In a droidbox t8 mini review, users praise its smooth streaming capabilities and convenient remote control. Overall, it’s a reliable choice for a seamless streaming experience.

What are the differences between the PINWHEEL Q7 Quad-Core Android Box and the ABOX A1 Android Box?

The PINWHEEL Q7 Quad-Core Android Box and the ABOX A1 Android Box differ in terms of processor power. While the ABOX A1 Android Box runs on a quad-core processor, the PINWHEEL Q7 Quad-Core Android Box utilizes an octa-core processor for faster performance and smoother multitasking.
