The Tecevo T8 bluetooth speaker is a good looking portable speaker that’s available in either black or, as you’ll see in the review video, white.
As with many low cost speakers this connects via bluetooth or via an aux-in port. There is a built in microphone to allow this to be used for hands free calling, and it has a rechargeable battery that last around 5 hours.
Where it differs from many speakers at this price range is the inclusion of a micro SD card reader, allowing you to playback music directly from an SD card without pairing to a device.
You can see in the via there are two USB ports, one is to charge the speaker, the other allows you to charge your device from the speaker.
The speaker certainly looks great, it can stand upright or be popped on the side. There is a speaker grill covering most of the surface, with a carabiner clip allowing you to hook this onto something like a bag when travelling, although note the clip isn’t high quality.
Setup was very easy, just pair it with your mobile and you’re good to go.
Keeping in mind this is a low cost speaker the music quality was OK, but lacked bass and sounded a little treble heavy, leading songs to have a rather flat sound to them.
If you’re looking for a low cost speaker for when you’re on the go this is certainly a good option and it looks great, the sound quality is just OK but perfectly fine for a lightweight speaker you’ll use out and about.
