LensPacks are a cool lens accessory for those who want to speedily change their camera lens when out and about.
Lens are expensive and most users will take their time when changing a lens to ensure the protective cap has been fitted to the lens being removed, a process that can lead to the uncomfortable juggling of multiple lens, lens caps and protective caps.
LensPacks aim to make lens swapping a much slicker process by being a replacement for the standard protective cap.
The idea is a simple one, rather than taking the lens out of your carry case and then removing the cap you have a system that attaches to your case and allows the lens to be removed from your bag leaving the protective cap behind.
On the back is a Velcro pad which is used to stick this to the inside of your bag. It can be fitted to most camera bags, allowing the lens to sit vertically or horizontally, but if you’re using a bag that Velcro doesn’t stick to you can use of the included adhesive backing Velcro patch.
Available in black or red the system is currently available for the following lens types:
- Nikon F-Mount
- Micro Four Thirds
- Canon EF & EF-S
- Pentax K-Mount
- Sony E-Mount
When fitted the Velcro on the back of the LenPacks proved to be very strong, requiring a good tug to remove it. This has the benefit that smaller lenses that would normally roll around are kept secured to the bag to prevent any accidental damage.
When you get the hang of it the system allows lens changes to be carried out much quicker than the more traditional method and it stops the awkward juggling of expensive lenses.
