Nokia Asha 311The Nokia Asha 311 is an OK mobile, but a year after it’s release it isn’t ageing that well, it just can’t compete with the fast pace of updates you get with Android, but it is a solid handset, it does what it does well. You can talk, text, and have access to internet and a small number of apps, including all the popular social networks.  You can also replace the stock browser with the much better Opera mini which makes browsing on the Asha 311 a lot nicer. If you’re looking for something that’s easy to use, and keeps things basic, then this could be a good handset for you. However, if you’re looking for something with a premium feel then the Nokia Asha 311 is certainly not for you, it feels cheap, its a bit bulky, all plastic and the screen feels a bit small.  The screen is OK, icons are clear but  when swyping around it can feel a little laggy at times. The Asha 311 is not a handset you should pay £100, at the time of writing this feels more like a £50 handset.  If you’re a fan of Nokia and not interested in modern iThis and Android That then the Asha 311 could be perfect for you. It’s the classic Nokia interface updated for touch screens. If you’re looking for a budget Nokia smartphone then there are better options available, for example the Nokia Lumia 520 which runs the far more modern and easier to use Windows mobile operating system. Alternatively if you don’t mind the handset not being a Nokia you should consider the Sony Xperia E.
