LG L7 IIThe LG L7 II is a great little handset, it’s a good size in the hand, easy to use and has a couple of unique features over other Android handsets.

Along with the usual screen lock and volume rocker buttons the L7 II  features an additional shortcut button, a great idea that lets you assign an action to the button for quick access to your most used functions.  By default it opens the L7 II quick memo app, but you can change it to things like the camera, music player or calculator, a really useful feature.

LG have also packed the L7 II  with a feature called Qslide which allows you to have a video running in the background while you do other tasks, so you can watch a video while typing out a text for example.  You can adjust the transparency of the video to suit your task and it’s a nice to see LG packing the L7 II with something a little different but it’s difficult to say exactly how useful users will find this in the long run.

The L7 II is lightweight and easy to hold in one hand with the buttons well positioned to ensure you won't press the wrong one by mistake. The L7 II interface is crisp and clean and overall it was found to be a nippy handset, the menus flow around smoothly.  One minor annoyance encountered during the initial setup was that the weather clock didn't auto detect the location, something fairly standard these days, and had to be manually entered.

For the price the L7 II  comes with a good 8 mega pixel camera which benefits from a voice activated shutter function.  When activated you shout 'Cheese!' (or one of the other commands available) and the L7 II takes a photo, a brilliant idea and one you'll appreciate if on other mobiles you've ever tried to take a self photo and been unable to press the screen shutter button.

Overall a great handset only really let down by a cheap feeling, it's got a very plastic feel to it. If you think this might be an issue I'd recommend checking on out in a store, but otherwise I wouldn't let this put you offer, its a great Android phone with some good features not normally found on similarly priced handsets.
