Magix Video Easy 6 Review
Magix Video Easy 6 is designed to be an easy to use, video editing package for those who want to step up from the free editing packages often included on PCs.
It installed and runs fine on my Windows 10 PC.
When you open the software you’re presented with a nice easy to use interface, select the media you want to make a video out of and it automatically pops it onto a timeline for you. You can rearrange each clip, add additional video or photos, or add a backing track.
There are basic editing features such as being able to cut clips, handy for deleting sections you don’t want, adding transitions and adding text.
You can also apply filters to your video, for example turning it black and white, and there was no waiting around for it to render, you can view the filter right away.
If editing footage shot on a mobile you’ll be glad to hear there is a rotate video option for when you film in portrait mode.
I was surprised to find you could also slow down and speed up video, a handy feature I thought only available in more expensive packages.
In terms of sound you can record a voice over track and also adjust the levels of different aspects.
There are transitions that can be used to make swapping between clips a bit more interesting, and there are some really great intro and outros, but be aware the terms and conditions mean you can’t use the excellent intro/outros for monetized purposes, so that would include YouTube where you get paid to display adverts.
As someone who does a lot of video editing for YouTube this is a little too basic for my needs, however that is its strength for those looking to quickly and easily create little home movies for sharing with friends and family and friends.
