The Revell Control Mini RC Can Car is a fun, low cost, RC toy suitable for ‘big kids’ as well as actual kids!
The car looks the business with front and rear lights and there are a range of vehicles available. Each uses a different frequency allowing you to get a couple of these and race them.
In terms of speed, the Mini RC is really fast and nippy when on a flat surface, such as wooden floors or a table, but it struggles a bit on carpet. As it has to work harder on carpet you’ll find the run time about 4 or 5 minutes, and a bit longer on wooden surfaces.
It’s been nicely designed to charge the car from the controller, which has a charging plug built into the side.
You can test your driving skills with with 4 little cones, although rather than drive around them you might spend more time bashing into them, it’s a tricky little car to fully master.
All of this packs back away into the can, with the car clipping on to the remote. Perhaps it was just this model, but it was really tough to remove the car from the remote. This plus the rear light issue suggest it’s not the best built toy, but it’s also really cheap.
Despite the shaky build quality this was great fun to play with, well worth getting a couple of these for a mini race.
Good fun for young or old.
