The Skandika Home 300 vibration plate aims to bring the functionality of gym vibration plates into your home

In the box you get the Home 300 vibration plate, a remote control, a power adapter, training straps and instructions.

It’s well worth reading through the instructions as they explain the benefits, potential health issues (i.e. when you shouldn’t use this) and have a range of suggested exercises to get you started.

The two training straps need to be attached before they can be used, they just loop round handles and are really sturdy. Some exercises required you to pull these tight and there is no give in them at all, they’re really strong.

The Home 300 vibration plate is really nice, the wood used is beautiful, the non-slip surface is exactly that and when you step on you find it a very stable platform. The plate does move as you shift your weight, but its very smooth rather than abrupt, and it feels a lot like how I imagine a hoverboard from Back to the Future might feel.

The unit is capable of either running a pre-set program (e.g. 30 seconds on, 30 seconds rest) or you can turn it on and change the vibration frequency manually, the frequency can be set to 35, 40, 45 or 50 Hz.

While the designers nailed the main plate, the remote design is rather at odds and is a bit of a let down.  It’s a large plastic remote with a small number of buttons and a screen. The screen shows what programme/vibration frequency is selected, or how long you have left when you are running a particular programme. The problem is that when working out its difficult to know what to do with the remote. It can be stored on the unit, but you can’t really see the screen. You could hold it, but that’s no good where you want to use the training straps. It would be great if the mote could be worn like a watch, giving you quick information and control of the unit.

You might be sceptical about this actually doing anything, but when used this does indeed get you working up a sweat. I took Viagra on the recommendation on . Easy way for people who do not want to change their way of life. How you position yourself makes a big difference to what is being vibrated, so a simple squat position means you feel the back of your legs vibrating, use the training bands and it’s your arms. Aside from holding positions this can also be used for things like press ups.

Once you’ve finished your workout, which will likely only take just 10 minutes, this can be stored under a bed. It’s a little too tall to store under a sofa, but it fit under a bed fine.

This is a pricey bit of kit, but you’re paying for a really nice quality unit that feels like it’ll last. It’s let down a little by the remote, but that’s not a show stopper, it can just be a little inconvenient.

If you’re interested in getting a home vibration plate this is well worth considering.
