The Tecevo S10 Mini Bluetooth speaker joins the hundreds of low cost Bluetooth speakers available. If you’ve ever purchased a low cost Bluetooth speaker you’ll know they provide an OK sound with an unsatisfying low bass. And that was exactly the experience expected from this tiny little speaker, one that is smaller than the usual Bluetooth speaker being only 6cm tall. Turns out looks can be very deceiving.
Hold the Tecevo S10 in the air and you get the usual OK-but-tinny sound, pop it on a surface, such as a table, and something rather magical happens, the sound is suddenly enhanced with a surprisingly rich bass that makes you think the speaker is much bigger than it actually is.
Sound quality varies depending on the surface used, with hard tables proving especially effective. Those songs can be played out of the speaker by either Bluetooth or by inserting a memory card, although given there is no screen to see what’s on the memory card it’s likely most people will make use of their phone/tablet/laptop as the source of music.
Around the base of the Tecevo S10 are the control, with multi function buttons allowing you to skip forwards/back, adjust the volume and play/pause.
The Tevevo S10 is just £16.99 at the time of review and as tiny little powerhouse of a speaker it’s just raised the benchmark for all low cost Bluetooth speakers to try and match.
