The UCVR 3d VR headset features an interesting design, the front panel comes completely off revealing the phone holding system.
Mobiles are held in place by a couple of adjustable clips, this was a little awkward to setup compared to using a front loading slot system, but they do keep mobile held in place.
The UCVR headset comes with straps so you don’t need to hold the headset in place (e.g. Google Cardboard), these were a little bit fiddly to attached and I ended up abandoning the over head strap.
Rather than having an adjustable lens you get 3 different sets included. These can be swapped out and it’s worth trying each of them to ensure you get the best possible view.
Even though it’s a little bit tricky to set up the UCVR headset is actually very comfortable in use. They’re well padded, lightweight and even if you only use the side straps it feels nice and secure.
Best of all, you look a little bit like a Cylon when using them!
