The Coppertech Wedge takes an interesting approach to the shape of speakers, opting for a wide and squat design rather than the usual round shape a lot of budget speakers take.
It weighs just 600gr and measure 5.5 x 18.5 x 6cm, inside which are 2 x 8W mini speakers.
On the top are the controls, there are no mechanical buttons instead there are backlit touch controls. These allow you to easily adjust the volume, play/pause and answer calls, however there aren’t any controls for track skipping.
Around the back is an aux in port allowing you to use this with non-bluetooth music sources and an aux cable is provided with the speaker.
The build quality is good, rather than a plastic body the Wedge has a full metal housing, giving it a more premium feel and a nice weight without it being too heavy to pop in a bag and take out and about.
You’ll see the black with red trim version in the review video, however if this style doesn’t take your fancy the Wedge is also available in black, silver with red trim, blue, and gold.
Sound quality was good for a small speaker, the Coppertech Wedge is easily able to fill a room with music without distorting at higher volume and there is a lot more bass present over lower cost speakers tested.
