When it comes to designing social media posts there is one website that crops up again and again: Canva. It offers a free plan but hides a lot of the good stuff away behind plan updates and one off purchases. If you’ve hit those restrictions you’re going to want to check out this deal on AppSumo.

Crello Pro is an online design platform with over 50,000 graphic and animated templates, 140+ million stock images and the ability to have brand assets predefined.

I picked this deal up when it was originally on AppSumo and it’s one of the best investments I ever made, I easily use it every week, often every day!

What is Crello used for?

Crello is an online graphics editor that can be used to create high quality blog header images, YouTube thumbnails, social media posts, animates posts, and adverts. You can do this via the included templates or you can start with a blank canvas.

The function I use the most is blog header posts, it’s so quick for me to select the blog header size, pick a template, edit, export, done! Very often I won’t even use a template, I’ll find a suitable image in the stock library and drop that into the editor.

Is the Crello editor easy to use?

Yes! The editor is very simple to get the hang of and if you’ve used Canva before you’ll pick it up in no time.

If you load a template up it can be completely customised, elements can be added, removed, moved, text edited, colours and fonts changed.

You can upload your own files and it has a very effective one click background removal tool.

You can resize your designs (great if you want to use a similar design across different social platforms) and you can create animated gifs very easily.

Don’t have your own files to use? Don’t worry, Crello has a brilliant set of stock libraries covering photos, videos, music, animations, objects and backgrounds.

When it comes to downloading you have all a good selections of options:

  • JPG
  • PNG
  • PNG transparent
  • PDF Standard
  • PDF Print
  • MP4
  • GIF

I recently made use of the PDF Print function to create a print advert for a client. The brilliant thing about Crello is it can add all the required margins and guides printers require, leaving me to focus on the advert design.

Crello Brand Management

If you’ve a few different websites, brands, or client brands, you’ll be pleased to know Crello features a brand kit section. Here you can add different logos, colour palettes and text styles for quick access, a brilliant time saver when you need to use specific colours.

Crello Mobile App

Had an idea on the go? Crello provides a mobile app for you to get creative whereever you are. You can see all your saved projects, even if they’ve not been made on your mobile, and the app has it’s own inbuilt editor to allow you to pick templates and customise them.

How much does Crello cost?

You can get started with Crello for $0 and this gives you 5 design downloads a month as well as access to vatious templates. You can’t remove backgrounds from images, make use of brand kits, or invite team members to the account.

Crello Pro costs $7.99 per month and gives you access to everything.

Right now AppSumo have a brilliant offer, a one time payment of $49 gives you access to the Crello Pro Plan (the $7.99 a month plan) for a one off payment of just $49! You won’t pay anything else, and this is lifetime access!

Is Crello Pro Lifetime Deal still a good investment after 4 years?

Yes, the Crello Pro Lifetime Deal is still a good investment after 4 years. Many users have reported high satisfaction with the features and benefits of the Crello Pro, making it a worthwhile long-term investment. Check out the gousto meal kit review for more details on satisfied customers.

Is Crello better than Canva?

Overall Canva free is better than Crello free due to the wider range of templates, however Crello lifetime is much better than Canva free and I’ve found I use Crello for 99% of the work I once used Canva for.

The one thing I still use Canva for is the grids feature, where you can pick from different muiltiple picture layouts, then just drag your photos to the grid spot you want them to appear. Aside from this feature I use Crello for everything else.
