The Motorola Moto E 2nd Gen. mobile is a budget phone that has a good kick to it. It’s very simple to setup, you don’t need to remove the back to get to the SIM card and memory card slot, instead you take off a surround that unclips to reveal the port.
The Moto E has a 4.5″ screen which looks good, text is crisp, pictures and games look good.
The camera is a 5MP snapper but it doesn’t have a flash, so low light photos tend not to look too great, photos come out grainy. The focus was also a pain, the Moto E didn’t auto focus very well, often leaving it to the user to intervene. However, what is great is that you can open the camera app by twisting the phone twice, and this can be done even when the phone is locked.
Although the photo quality isn’t brilliant video is actually OK, you’ll see in the below review it did a good job of filming a rainy day.
Where this phone is brilliant is with gaming. Both Asphalt 8 and Modern Combat 5 installed without needing to add a memory card and they both ran really smoothly. One thing to note is that the small screen size means your hands may get in the way when playing games.
Overall you get a good phone for a very reasonable price.
