Overall the Vinsic 15000mAh power bank is a nice looking bit of kit that differs from the usual black block battery look. Worth noting that the overall look on the sample unit was spoiled somewhat with an odd finish around the LED area, not sure it’s clear on the video but it looks a bit scuffed.

The power bank has two outputs allowing you to charge two different devices at once, say a mobile and a tablet. There is little, touch activated, LED display to show how much charge is left in the power bank.

A single USB cable is included, if you’re an iDevice user you’ll need to provide your own charging cable. In fact to get the most out of this you’ll need to provide your own cable regardless of what device you have, as you’ll see in the review video the included cable restricts the amount of charge delivered which means charging will take longer than necessary using this cable.

Swap it out for a cable provided with a mobile and you’ll immediately see the difference, my HTC One M9 no longer warned about a slow charge over USB and instead reported it was charging from a power socket.

You’ll get a good few charges (or part charges) out of this, however it’s not something you can easily slip into a pocket. The sized and shape means this is one for a briefcase or bag.
