We visited Ty Bryn after a trip to the Gadget Show Live at the NEC in Birmingham. After such a technology focused show we had hoped to find a nice B&B in the countryside for a gadget detox and we were not disappointed by Ty Bryn B&B!

It was easy to locate, just off a main road, and access is via a steep driveway. We’d be warned about the drive ahead of the visit but it actually wasn’t as bad as we’d been warned, just take it slow and you’ll be parked up without any issue.

On arrival we were warmly greeted by Nikkie the owner. She showed us round and explained the rather cool door lock system. Rather than carrying a key about with us they have a programmable keypad on the main door, she set us up a code of our choice and it meant we wouldn’t ever misplace the room key as that would be left in the house.

There is a nice dining area for breakfast and a lounge area that guests are welcome to use. This is packed with information about the surrounding area, with lots of leaflets and suggested walks.

The bedroom was a lovely size, with on suit bathroom, and had the most amazing view. We stayed in the Thistle room and this had a king size bed, lots of storage space, wall mounted TV, kettle, biscuits and water.

Although the house overlooks a road we didn’t have any issue with noise and we slept really well.

Breakfast was fantastic, just what you need to get the day started and perfect for those looking to take advantage of the amazing location by going for long walks.

The local area is lovely to explore and there is lots to see and do within driving distance.

Wifi was included and was a decent enough speed for a bit of Netflix after a long day of exploration.

The decor was lovely and made it feel so much warmer than you’d get in a hotel, lots of lovely artwork and little knick-knacks that injected the owner’s personality and style into the venue.

Brilliant B&B in a beautiful location.
