AVATTO i8 Pro Portable Backlit Wireless Mini Keyboard Review

The AVATTO i8 mini keyboard is a handy, low cost, media keyboard for a range of devices.

It’ll be most useful to those with some sort of device hooked up to a TV, for example an Android box, or media PC, as it gives you a full QWERTY keyboard in a compact form.

There is an on/off switch on the back along with a USB port for charging the battery. A charging cable is included in the box.

Setup was really easy, there is a USB dongle stored next to the battery and on both Android and Windows 10 all that was required was for the dongle to be plugged in and this was then ready to use.

AVATTO i8 Pro LED Backlit Mini Keyboard

The central section is a trackpad, it works OK and has scroll wheel functionality on the right, but I personally prefer to use an air mouse with media boxes.

There are a range of shortcut keys either side of the trackpad, for example a mute button, search button, left and right mouse keys.

For text entry there are some shortcut keys for www and .com, but not .co.uk.

The backlight works really well and is a must for using this in the dark, there are so many keys it’s really tricky to find the one you want without the backlight turned on. This automatically turns off when the keyboard hasn’t been used for a bit so you don’t need to worry about it distracting you while watching a film.

Good low cost option if you don’t want a full size keyboard and need to regularly enter text.
