There are a lot of USB hubs out there, but this must be one of the coolest you can buy. The Tardis hub plugs into an existing USB port and turns it into 4 ports.
The Tardis hub has a little blue light on the top and the distinctive Tardis sound effect whenever you plug something in. Fortunately the sound can be switched off as the novelty value of it being played a lot soon wears thin!
There is also a button on the front should you want to trigger the light/sound (most often used when showing it off to people).
This is one for your desk, it’s small enough to sit out of the way but it’s really too big to be something you’d carry around with you to use with a laptop.
As well as the Tardis hub you also get a power supply allowing you to use this as a powered hub. Having it plugged in also allows you to fire up the lights and sound without the need for your PC to be on.
The Tardis hub is a few years old now and what you’re paying for is a novelty item. You can get cheaper USB 3 hubs than this. But they’re not as cool. Makes for a great little present which is genuinely useful.
